We have formally advised Drogheda Port Company and Bremore Ireland Port DAC of our community’s opposition to the proposed construction of a deep-water port at or near Gormanston Beach. Environmental organisations, activists and concerned citizens stand alongside our community, and together with planning, legal and environmental professionals we are fully determined to prevent what we consider to be a destructive and entirely unnecessary development. Other communities in East Meath and Fingal have expressed their support for our position and their opposition to the Drogheda Port Company and Bremore Ireland Port DAC proposed development.

We have set up a project team drawn from the community to organise a complete rejection of the port proposal.
